How do I apply to your program?

We accept applications only through ERAS. Visit http://www.aamc.org/students/eras/start.htm.

 

How many residents do you accept each year to your program?

We accept 12 residents each year.

 

Do you accept international medical graduates?

Yes, we do.

 

Do you sponsor visas?

Yes, we sponsor J-1 Visas.  Other visas will be considered on an individual basis.

 

Is there a cutoff for graduation?

There is no cutoff date for graduation.  However, applicant's experiences since graduation will be carefully reviewed.

 

Do you require U.S. clinical experience?

We prefer candidates with U.S. clinical experience but we do not require it.  Clinical research experience is given due consideration and strengthens your application.

 

Is ECFMG certification required prior to being granted an interview?

Although we generally will want to see your USMLE scores before granting an interview, we do not require full certification prior to an interview being offered.

 

Do you have a cutoff for USMLE scores?

We give preference to applicants with USMLE scores above 85 on the first attempt. and many applicants interviewed have scores well above that (dependent on each year's applicant pool).

 

What is the board passing rate?

Our average board pass-rate for the past three years is 82%.

 

Do you give pre-Match offers?

A limited number may be given for selected candidates.
